Optios "R" Us
The State of Ohio officially stocks five rivers. The five I've given are wonderful options to fish. But here is the thing. EVERY STREAM/RIVER/DRAIN THAT POURS INTO LAKE ERIE GETS A RUN OF STEELHEAD!! This is true all around the Great Lakes. Its a matter of timing, scouting with maps, and LUCK. I have personally caught fish in ditches you can jump across. Some of these reside on public state lands, some city parks, some through backyards. You would be real surprised what they would run up. I'm talking good fishing here. So grab a map and here are a few.
***Euclid Creek- city stream with 2 city parks. Fishing can be hit or miss, but productive. Mostly shale with obvious "fishy" spots.

***Arcola/Cowels/Wheeler Creek- rural streams on state gamelands. Fishing can be good, gives best beach fishing opportunities in state. Gravel predominates with fallen trees. Easy to read.

***Turkey Creek- rural stream on state gamelands. Fishing can be hit o miss, but productive. Marshy in nature, not to pressured.
These are just a few well known areas and usually don't get pressured to much. They are all worth the time to explore when the conditions are right.
